Hi Mike!
I can only imagine how weird it must be; I hope you are relaxing and having fun!
The picture I sent is yours… use it wherever or however you choose.Your book was fantastic! From my experience thus far, it is an accurate and in-depth look into the industry. I appreciate the honesty in the book regarding the demands and expectations that come with being in the business. It is invaluable to have an inside look at successful professionals in the field, how they got started, and their advice to students like myself.I have the amazing privilege of interning alongside brilliant people at a news station I highly respect and have watched my entire life. Breaking Into TV News reiterates many key ideas I was taught during my orientation at KCRA. The book also combines much of the information and advice I have gathered from asking reporters, photographers, producers, and those in the newsroom questions about anything and everything relating to the news. The biggest take-away is the importance of being proficient at everything – shooting, reporting, editing, writing, etc., and most of all having the passion and determination to do so!I appreciate all of the advice you have given me throughout my internship; everything from camera angles, asking questions, and how to record a voice-over. I am beyond thankful to have the opportunity to work alongside someone as talented and brilliant as you, and your book is an amazing tool for others to also have your invaluable advice and insight.

Thank you and I will see you soon!!
