Light Is My Friend: Walking Land Park in Sacramento

From left to right: Bea, Ava and Alex. Out on the walk. “Put away the camera and let’s get walking!!!”
It’s been a while since I’ve posted any photo essays. Probably because the summer light here is so unwelcoming. But now with the first days of autumn and the light going away earlier and earlier, and the cooler weather in the evenings, the light has been more interesting.
Took these photos at Sacramento’s William Land Park while walking the dogs, Alex and Ava, and the 3 year-old greyhound foster, Bea, who we’re nursing back to health for Greyhound Friends For Life.
These were shot using the Retro Camera app on the Android smart phone.
Once the sun starts slipping away everything starts becoming interesting.
Color adjustment were made in Aperture.
